Join Drew Pearson, star of “The Drew Pearson Show,” for Season 2 starting in April 2013.
This season Drew recruits a couple of new teammates and installs a new segment highlighting his signature catch, “The Hail Mary”, when he asks guests, “What was your Hail Mary Moment?”
Miss Kelly Webster and Marc Colombo (Dallas Cowboys) (105.3 The Fan) joined the cast to help explore More Than Just Sports™ with entertainment guru Paul Salfen, and Jennifer Reed connect across the social spheres with viewers via Michael Nast.
With Pearson’s witty outlook on sports and his unique approach to entertainment, food, cars and human interest, it's no surprise the show gained popularity quickly during its first season. The widespread audience last year made it easily the number one most followed sports and lifestyle show in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana - and beyond.
With a growing number of very high-profile athletes and celebrities already slated for 2013, the show already promises to be even more entertaining and informative than last year. Plus, having a higher purpose is one of the great foundations of the show and is very important to Drew and his team. From granting wishes for the Make-A-Wish Foundation to providing toys for children during the holidays, Drew Pearson and his "Star Power" crew will help local charities in need each week.
The show will continue its successful partnership with FOX Sports Southwest and is set to resume on air April 19th, when Miss Kelly and Colombo will make their debut on the show. Continuing with what made the show so popular online so fast, the show will continue to stream live on YouTube every Monday night. In addition, shows will now be available on iTunes.
In 1980, the Cowboys selected Pearson as their nominee for NFL Man of the Year. Pearson is known as "Mr. Clutch" for his numerous clutch catches in game-winning situations, especially the "Hail Mary" reception from Roger Staubach that sealed the victory in a 1975 playoff game, one of the most famous plays in NFL history. He caught the game-sealing touchdown in 1973 playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams and the game-winning touchdown pass from reserve quarterback Clint Longley in the 1974 Thanksgiving game against the Washington Redskins. All three of those plays were named among the Top 75 plays in NFL history by NFL Films in 1994. All were included on a video/DVD by that name. In addition in the 1980 playoff game at Atlanta, Pearson's clutch receptions helped win that game in a comeback by the Cowboys. In 2009, on the NFL Network show "NFL's Top 10", in the episode titled "Greatest Dallas Cowboys", he is named as one of the 10 Greatest Dallas Cowboys to ever play. More on Wikipedia
